History Testimony of Pastor Don: It was December 7, 1975 when I gave my heart to Jesus. This wonderful experience took place in a prison cell in Soledad Prison which occured on the third year of a five year sentence for gang related crimes. After being released from prison on September 5, 1977, I became involved in a prison ministry type church and I lived in their rehabilitation home for a few years. On August 13, 1983, my wife Sista and I were married. The Lord led us to attend a church in Norwalk where we stayed for about four years. Since 1978, I have been teaching and preaching the Bible in prisons and youth facilities and I also led Bible Studies with the men in the home where I lived. In 1986 my wife and I started our first Bible Study and by 1987 we were incoporated as a church. Finally in 1991 we were accepted as an affiliate of the Calvary Chapel Outreach in Costa Mesa. My wife and I are very thankful to the Lord for allowing us to become Calvary Chapel Alhambra church. Ever since then we have seen the Lord do many great things.Thank God for His Grace and Mercy.
