"Therefore by HIM let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forgetto do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased." Hebrews 13:15-16 God is not just pleased when His children "do good" and "share," He is well pleased! So it's safe to say that when the Christian does good and shares , it touches the Heart of God in a special way. Most believers act on verse15 most of the time, but I believe our grade point average is very low on verse 16. In a church service the majority of us can shoutpraises to God and wave our bibles back and forth. But when it comes down to that which really touches the Heart of Jesus, we're not doing too good; God Help Us! As believers we're not into New Years resolutions, but I believe we should step into 2004 With a big heart, desiring to "do good" and "share" with others. Let's do what we can with that which God has given to us...Matthew 10:8 says "Freely you have recieved, Freely give. Everyone has something that they can "share" with someone else, it may be finances, food, some kind of talent, a comforting word or a helping hand. The world is very selfish, I'm sad to say and so is the body of Christ and it's only by the grace of God that we can be obedient to the Lord Jesus Christ. Let's break out of our shells and start "doing good" and "sharing", giving God all the glory as we do help someone out and up, and as we begin to reach out to others, we will have more peace in our hearts... Ephesians 5:1, tells us to "Be imitators of God". God is a giver, so lets imitate Him, the Scripture says... "DO NOT FORGET"! In Christ's Love Pastor Don Antelo |
